Technology Sales

The IaaS Business Development is responsible to maximize the sales potential and to ensure that Oracle IaaS is positioned in all opportunities. He/she:

  • Should have an extensive background in Cloud and ideally in a competitive platform.

  • Will be part of Oracle’s Israel sales organization and all of the work undertaken must be focused on creating value for our customers whilst increasing IaaS bookings.

  • Will cover all of Israel, Will work closely with Software Sales, Pre-Sales, Enterprise Architects, Customer Success Managers and other Services LOB’s.

  • Will need to be confident and capable of presenting and discussing IaaS solutions and services both on a 1:1 basis and at larger Customer, Partner or Sales events.

  • The role offers a high degree of personal autonomy and requires excellent self organization and self motivation skills.


The main responsibilities include:

  • Creates & drives the “go-to-market” strategy for IaaS at Israel level.

  • Achieve sales goals for Oracle IaaS products for the mentioned territory, focusing on growth.

  • Achieve desired revenue and booking targets for product mix across all areas of IaaS products

  • Build and execute a sales strategy to develop and manage sales pipelines, product mix and revenue/margin in the territory

  • Delivering a portfolio of services to migrate customers from OnPremise Data Centers or competitive Cloud Platforms to Oracle Cloud.

  • Virtual management of the Sales teams and personal involvement / engagement on major deals, ensuring all available and appropriate resources are engaged

  • Develop, recommend and implement a comprehensive XLOB Technology Sales approach for the territory

  • Ensure sales management cadence, reporting, policies and procedures are executed as needed


  • Act as the Oracle Tech Business Development Leader for the Territory. In internal as much as in external relations.

  • Foster and lead collaboration with other LOB’s to position the entire Oracle Stack in Major Accounts.

  • Ensure sales teams maximize on the Oracle Stack

  • Lead & Participate in account planning for all large customers

  • Drives measurements, planning, forecasting of the IaaS activity in the territory

  • Provides regular business updates to management teams regarding revenue, margin and overall business performance


  • Able to build credibility with customer's executive management

  • Gives feedback to Technology Management on market, competition and products requirements.


  • Strong Network on Israeli Market

  • A strong background in and extensive knowledge of IaaS and Data Center migrations is key. Hands on experience in AWS/Azure is preferred

  • Experience of developing and driving business opportunities in win-back situations

  • The ideal candidate will possess both a business and technical background that enables him/her to engage an account at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects.

  • Understanding of key business drivers for demand in the Technology market.

  • Have the ability to understand and articulate customer business requirements and develop corresponding solution design.

  • Being able to prioritize activities & business opportunities and to leverage other functions within the organization.

  • Experienced to work in complex environments

  • Native Hebrew speaker, fluent and proficient in English (verbal and writing)

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to a large number of named accounts/non-named accounts/geographical territory (mainly Tier 3 accounts).

Primary job duty is to sell technology software products and related services in a defined territory. Identifies, qualifies and closes new opportunities. Manages accounts including the entire sales process from business development prospecting and specifications through contract negotiations, signing, and post-sales support. Leverages the Oracle sales model to maximize revenue growth and increase local market share. Builds and expands business partner revenue and self sufficiency.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years field sales experience including technology sales experience. Ability to forecast, manage sales expenses, and successfully close new Oracle business. Business development, prospecting and presentation skills. Excellent communication skills and problem solving ability. Proven track record of exceeding sales objective and territory/account development. Experience as the focal point for clients for all sales and related issues. Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle

  • s competitors. Travel may be needed. Bachelor degree or equivalent.
