The Red Hat OpenStack Quality Engineering team is looking for an Associate Manager for continuous integration (CI) and DevOps teams to join us in Ra'anana, Israel. In this role, you will help maintain our exceptional quality standards for our emerging technologies, specifically the Red Hat OpenStack Platform. You'll collaborate closely with other Red Hat associates and developers in the open source community and develop the CI framework for the Red Hat OpenStack Platform. You'll also help with builds for our offerings and ensure there are no regressions using the latest CI technologies. As an Associate Manager, you'll frequently interact with other communities like Jenkins and Red Hat OpenStack Platform and you'll help promote Ansible by Red Hat in conferences and forums.
Primary job responsibilities
Develop automated tests using automation infrastructure and available scripting languages
Design test cases and carry out manual tests
Write clear and accurate bug reports
Help develop the community automation testing framework and enhance the coverage by adding more tests to the existing suite
Participate in the design sessions of the solution side by side with developers and project managers to scope, prioritize new features, and propose appropriate test strategies
Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering, or equivalent in working experience
Linux or UNIX system administration experience
5-7 years of experience as a quality engineer, developer, or DevOps
Solid knowledge and understanding of networking layers 3-5
Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), agile, and waterfall development
Advanced coding abilities using Python, Java, or Shell
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Experience with cloud computing environments or virtualization technologies like Red Hat OpenStack, Amazon Web Services (AWS), VMware, KVM, and Xen
Expertise in designing, building, and maintaining test environments and automated test suites
Good knowledge of Ansible by Red Hat, Jenkins, or Docker is a plus
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certifications are a plus
