Job Summary:

ForeScout is looking for a Senior Security Engineer who seeks the challenge of joining and contributing to the development of a world-class security operation. You will have the freedom to develop new and innovative processes and technologies where your input will be heard and valued. Drawing on your expertise of cyber security best practices and technologies, you will own the responsibility for implementation and administration of network security hardware and software, and assess risks and deploy solutions to deliver best-in-class network, end-point data and application security services.

  • The Network Security Engineer is a member of the Security Operations Center and of the Incident Response Team.

  • Assist in building and developing the Security Operations Center and the Incident Response Team.

  • Develop policies and design controls, delivers and operates security platforms.

  • Perform analysis of network security needs and contribute to design, integration, and installation of hardware and software.

  • Monitor security system logs (i.e. intrusion detection system, firewall system logs, etc.), analyze, and reports on discovered anomalies or problems.

  • Perform vulnerability assessments, security testing and develop remediation strategies.

  • Demonstrate the ability to understand and design solutions from end to end.

  • Understand the effects of Network Security practices and implementations on application, server infrastructure, user experience and total cost of ownership.

  • Provide recommendations to Management on Network Security solutions and improvements.

  • Validate emerging technologies for application into the ForeScout Infrastructure.

  • Provide technical leadership to staff including mentoring, training and technical guidance.

  • Maintain current and accurate Network architecture documentation.

  • Technical lead for a small team of engineers; including task assignment, priority and schedule setting.

Accomplished professionals will have experience(s) in the following areas:

  • 6+ years direct related work experience in network, security administration\ engineering.

  • CISSP, Security+, and/or CEH certification is a plus

  • Network security architecture and design in the areas of: VPN, Firewall Policy, Intrusion Detection, Content Filtering, and Enterprise Wireless

  • Hardware expertise including: Juniper, Cisco, and other next-generation/APT firewalls; Intrusion Detection and Prevention Devices; and Cisco and Aruba Wireless LAN Controller

  • Strong business acumen to partner with other ForeScout business units.

  • Act as an interface with external companies such as hosting providers, third party application providers and customers

  • Ability to work with confidential information and protect the Network Security design and architecture.

  • Proven success in supporting Security products & technologies like PKI, and MFA is a must

  • Demonstrated abilities in contributing to a team environment, meeting stringent deadlines, prioritization and multi-tasking

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or other relevant field is a plus
