The Google Technical Services Ads team is a solution-generating force that helps our sales teams and advertisers. These solutions need to be scalable to support millions of customers worldwide. In addition to troubleshooting on the customer side, we work with Sales, Product and Engineering teams within Google to develop better tools and services to improve our products based on the evolving needs of our users. As a cross-functional and global team, it's our job to help keep the lights on and the ads fresh.

The Global Support team in Google Technical Services Ads, plays a critical role in supporting sales teams, advertisers and products that enhance business potential by consistently providing product solutions, reliable information based on efficient consultative analysis, accurate implementations and timely communications. Alongside our support and troubleshooting work, we partner with sales, product management and engineering to focus on developing innovative support solutions that effectively serve our growing customer base.

As a Support Specialist, you will work closely with advertisers and sales teams to drive technical troubleshooting. You will become an expert, focused on handling troubleshooting tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Prioritize and deliver outstanding customer service and troubleshooting for sales teams and clients.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of internal products.
  • Work directly with customers as well as sales teams.
  • Contribute and carry out one-off projects for advertisers.
Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in an online advertising role and familiarity with the advertisement industry and internet technologies (JavaScript, HTML, Flash).
  • Experience in using AdWords or other online display advertising systems.
  • Client facing experience with effective communication and analytical skills, with the ability to problem-solve.
  • Ability to speak and write in additional languages fluently and idiomatically.
