Reinventing Big-Data Engine is happening NOW in Kusto team.

The team started as a small incubation 3 year ago and has already made a big impact within Microsoft. Today, we are running a very large-scale cloud service (over 20K nodes), provide log analytics for hundreds of teams across all Microsoft divisions. We are looking for strong and motivated PM to help us continue driving the Kusto revolution and make it THE technology for log search and text analytics across all Microsoft, providing value external customers offerings and Microsoft internal large-scale telemetry initiatives.


  • Be able to characterize and formulate operational procedures for running highly scalable big data service in Azure

  • Specify and drive efforts to create and improve operational processes that increases efficiencies, scale and customer satisfaction.

  • Drive compliance, security and certifications of the service

  • Articulate and deliver SLAs across a variety of scenarios at both the technical and management layers.

  • Demonstrate stellar cross group collaboration and the ability to influence and make decisions in partnership with other teams and external partners.


  • BS or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering

  • 4+ years of experience in Program Management or operations.

  • Direct experience in software development process including testing and release management

  • Extensive exposure and track record in customer and partner facing roles, with experience working with internal and external sales and commercial teams

  • Deep understanding of cloud services is a plus (preferably Azure)

  • Working knowledge of Database as well as Big Data systems is a plus

  • Experience with Security and Compliance methodologies
