We are seeking a talented and experienced hands-on QA team leader to join our Behavioral Analytics group, and lead the EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) QA team in our Tel-Aviv R&D center.

Magnifier ® behavioral analytics technology uses sophisticated machine learning to quickly, efficiently and accurately identify attacks based on detecting behavioral anomalies inside the network. With the recent acquisition of LightCyber by Palo Alto Networks, we are working together now to integrate this award-winning technology into the Palo Alto Networks Security Platform and deliver an innovative solution that will help customers to prevent cyber breaches throughout the entire attack life cycle.

As EDR QA Team Leader, you will be responsible for reflecting and ensuring the ongoing quality of the Magnifier system, starting from detection of suspicious files on the endpoint and up to the proper presentation of the alert in the UI of the Magnifier Palo Alto Networks security product, as well as focusing on the OnPrem module, which is the module that is located inside the customer’s network, scanning endpoints when required and communicating with our cloud services to check if the results might suggest we’ve found a malware or other suspicious artifacts.

You will be required to:

  • Define test plans for the relevant parts of the product as well as end to end flows

  • Ensure professional and effective execution of the test plans by the QA team, as well as hands-on participation in a large portion of the execution itself

  • Closely interact with other Dev and QA teams, both in Israel and abroad

  • Mentor your team members to ensure professionalism and productivity, as well as alignment to Palo alto Networks methodologies and culture


  • Learn new features and technologies in a relatively short amount of time

  • Reproduce sophisticated bugs, that either came from the field or have been found during the core release testing cycle

  • Understand and analyze bug fixes in order to plan highly targeted tests to validate the fixes and impacted areas

  • Design and execute test plans for new features or major redesign of an existing feature

  • Execute manual tests as well as test automation

  • Run QA cycles on a tight release schedule

  • Mentor the team members to ensure an ongoing improvement in professionalism and productivity

  • Actively maintain high level of technical knowledge in the team

  • Give detailed reports regarding the quality of the modules under your responsibility and the progress of the team


  • Academic degree(s) in Computer Science or equivalent

  • At least 5 years of software testing experience, out of which at least 2 as a team leader.

  • Experience writing testing documents (STDs/ATPs) and knowledge of various testing methodologies

  • Experience with various operating systems - windows, MacOs and Linux

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both Hebrew and English - MUST

  • Ability to occasionally work late hours due to timezone differences with US west coast

  • Ability to work under pressure with extreme deadlines, prioritize projects, while maintaining focus and a sense of humor

  • Experience with Microsoft server based products – Exchange, SQL, DC etc. – an advantage
